About Sangha Cowork

Sangha Cowork is a coworking space in São Martinho, Funchal, on the island of Madeira, located within the Dorisol Hotels complex. Its 57 workstations in about 250 m² include flexible desks, dedicated desks and private offices, plus a meeting room and a virtual office service, with day passes from €15.

Sangha is designed for digital nomads, remote workers, freelancers and local teams who need a quiet, well-equipped place to work. The open-plan space has plenty of natural light, fast and reliable Wi-Fi, phone booths, a printer and a kitchen area with complimentary coffee, tea, water and fruit.

As part of Dorisol Hotels, Sangha gives its members special rates on the hotel's restaurant and bar, indoor and outdoor pools, gym, spa, tennis court and event rooms. For longer stays and team retreats, we can also put together packages that combine workspace and accommodation.

Members have 24/7 access, and our team is at the reception Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The best way to get to know Sangha is to visit: book a visit or try a day pass.

How big is Sangha Cowork and how many workstations does it have?
Sangha Cowork has 57 workstations in about 250 m²: 34 flexible desks in the open space, 19 dedicated desks and 5 private offices for 2 people each. There is also a meeting room, phone booths, a kitchen area and other common areas.
What are the opening hours? Can I work early or late?
Our reception is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Members who need to work outside these hours can get a 24/7 access card.
Do I need to book a day pass?
No. You can book a day pass in advance or buy it when you arrive. Bookings can be made by email, WhatsApp or online.
Do the prices include VAT?
No. All prices are shown without VAT. The VAT rate currently applicable in Madeira is 22%.
What is included in the coworking plans?
All plans include fast Wi-Fi, use of the phone booths and free coffee, tea, water and fresh fruit. Some plans also include a number of meeting room hours, and extra hours can be booked. Printing and lockers are available at an additional cost.
Where is Sangha Cowork and how far is it from the city centre, the beach and the airport?
Sangha Cowork is at Rua da Casa Branca, 98, São Martinho, Funchal, inside the Dorisol Hotels complex. It is about 5 minutes by car from Funchal city centre, a 5-minute walk from the beach and 20 minutes by car from the airport.

The space

Can I share my dedicated desk with someone else?
No. Dedicated desks are for exclusive use, so each member has their own desk.
Can I leave my own monitor at my desk? Do you rent monitors or laptops?
Yes, dedicated desk members can bring their own monitor and leave it at their desk. If you need one, we rent external monitors from €5 + VAT per day. We do not rent laptops, so please bring your own.
Where can I take calls and video calls?
You can take calls at your desk or use one of our phone booths, free of charge. For longer calls or meetings, the meeting room can be booked in advance.
Can I meet clients at Sangha Cowork?
Yes. Our meeting room is available for client meetings, from €10 + VAT per hour for members and €20 + VAT per hour for non-members.
Can I host my own event in the conference room? Is it open to non-members?
Yes. Members can organise their own events in our conference room, and our team is happy to help with the organisation. The room is also available to non-members, subject to booking. Talk to the Sangha team to check availability.
Is the space accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Sangha Cowork is on the first floor and the building has no lift, so access involves stairs.
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed in the coworking space.

Can I visit the space before deciding?
Yes, you are welcome to visit. We recommend booking your visit in advance so we can make sure someone is available to show you the space and explain the different plans.
What languages does the team speak?
Our team speaks Portuguese and English.

Prices and payment

Do you offer discounts?
Yes. We offer a 5% discount on 6-month subscriptions and a 10% discount on 1-year subscriptions. For groups and students, we look at each case individually and can be flexible.
What payment methods do you accept? Can you issue an invoice with a foreign tax number?
We accept bank transfer, payment link and cash. Yes, we can issue invoices with a foreign tax identification number.
How much do printing and lockers cost?
Printing is available to members at €0.05 + VAT per black-and-white page and €0.10 + VAT per colour page. Lockers cost €5 + VAT per day, €7.50 + VAT per week or €15 + VAT per month.
What does the virtual office include?
For €50 + VAT per month, the virtual office includes the use of our address as your company's registered business address in Madeira, mail reception and forwarding, and 2 free hours of meeting room use per month.

Is access to the pools and gym included in the coworking plans?
No. Access to the pools and gym is not included in any plan. Members can get the Dorisol Wellness pass for €50 + VAT per month, which includes the gym, swimming pools, jacuzzi and sauna.
How can I book a workation package with accommodation?
Send us an email at geral@sanghacowork.pt with your dates and number of people, and we will prepare a proposal combining workspace and accommodation at Dorisol Hotels.
Do you organise community events?
Yes. We organise community events such as rooftop gatherings and networking sessions throughout the year.
